Monday, February 5, 2018 was the 100th day of our school year. The 100th day of school is always a great day for fun activities with the number 100, especially for our kindergartners. The students dressed up like 100-year-olds. We saw lots of glasses, suspenders, pearls, and shawls!!
We had 100-themed activities throughout the school day. Students went on a school-wide Scavenger Hunt to see how many 100’s they could find in our building. We also had a number hunt in our classrooms, too! The kids had to find the numerals 0-100, and then we put them in order. That was lots of fun for them!
We made pictures using the numbers 1-0-0. We have lots of creative artists in Kindergarten! Counting how many licks it took to finish a Dum-Dum was lots of fun…no crunching was allowed. Also, we wrote about how we would spend $100.00 in cash.
Our technology coach, Mrs. Rome came to our classrooms and did a 100th Day Nearpod on individual iPads with our Kindergartners. We wrote numbers, listened to counting songs, took whole class surveys, sorted 100 things into 10 groups, and played memory games. It was a fun way to celebrate using technology!
We are so proud of all the hard work the boys and girls have done in the first 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL!!
